Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of extensionofstay.com and the services offered on it — including free guides, live briefings, courses, the AI assistant, and attorney-connected services (together, the "Services") — operated by GoElite, Inc. ("GoElite," "we," "us"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. The most important part: what we are, and what we are not
Not a law firm · Not legal advice
GoElite is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Our guides, courses, live briefings, and AI assistant provide general information and self-help tools only. General information is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney about your specific situation. Use of the Services does not create an attorney-client relationship with GoElite.
Attorney services available through the platform (such as Q&A, filing review, and representation) are provided by independent licensed U.S. immigration attorneys, not by GoElite. When you engage an attorney through the platform, your attorney-client relationship is with that attorney, governed by the attorney's engagement terms and professional responsibilities. GoElite facilitates the connection, scheduling, and payment, and is not a party to the attorney-client relationship.
2. No guarantee of immigration outcomes
Immigration decisions are made by government agencies in their discretion. Nothing on the Services — including course content, AI assistant responses, attorney reviews, or attorney representation — is a promise or guarantee that any application will be approved, that you will maintain any particular status, or that any deadline or rule will apply to your case in a particular way. Regulatory information on the Services reflects the rules as of the "last updated" date shown and may change.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
- You agree to provide accurate, current information — in your account, intake forms, and anything you submit for attorney review. Inaccurate information can harm your immigration case; it also limits any responsibility we or participating attorneys can take for work based on it.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for activity under your account.
4. Purchases, payments, and upgrades
- Prices for each service level are shown at purchase. Unless stated otherwise, prices are in U.S. dollars and exclusive of any applicable taxes.
- Upgrade credit: amounts you have paid for a lower service level are credited toward an upgrade to a higher level, as described at purchase.
- Attorney-service fees shown as "flat" cover the scope described at purchase; work outside that scope (for example, complex cases under Attorney Direct) is quoted before you commit.
- Refunds: courses refundable within 7 days if less than 25% completed; attorney services refundable until work begins; no refunds once an attorney has delivered the purchased review/answer.
5. RFE guarantee
Where a service is described as including an "RFE guarantee," the guarantee means: if USCIS issues a Request for Evidence on a filing that was reviewed or prepared through the applicable service, a participating attorney will prepare a response to that RFE at no additional professional fee, subject to the conditions described at purchase — including that the RFE relates to the reviewed filing and that you provided complete and accurate information. The guarantee is not a promise of approval.
6. AI assistant
The AI assistant generates responses automatically and can be wrong, incomplete, or outdated. It is provided for general information only, does not provide legal advice, and its responses are not reviewed by an attorney unless expressly stated. Do not rely on the AI assistant for decisions about your immigration case without confirming with your DSO or a licensed attorney. Do not submit information about other identifiable individuals without their consent.
7. Courses and content license
All content on the Services — guides, courses, videos, checklists, and materials — is owned by GoElite or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access content you have lawfully accessed or purchased, for your own personal use. You may not resell, redistribute, publicly post, or share purchased content, or use it to build a competing product.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse the Services or interfere with their operation; attempt to access other users' data; scrape or bulk-download content; misrepresent your identity or immigration situation to attorneys; use the Services to violate any law; or upload malicious code. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Third-party services
The Services link to and integrate third-party services — including scheduling and CRM tools, payment processors, the Apple App Store (for the OPTimize app), and government websites such as uscis.gov. Those services have their own terms and policies, which govern your use of them. We are not responsible for third-party services or the accuracy of government processing information.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GOELITE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT CONTENT IS CURRENT OR ACCURATE AT ALL TIMES.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (a) GOELITE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST OPPORTUNITIES, STATUS CONSEQUENCES, OR GOVERNMENT DECISIONS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES; AND (b) GOELITE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW. SERVICES PERFORMED BY INDEPENDENT ATTORNEYS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THOSE ATTORNEYS UNDER THEIR OWN ENGAGEMENT TERMS AND PROFESSIONAL OBLIGATIONS.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify GoElite against claims arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or information you provide that is inaccurate or infringes others' rights.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
14. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms as the Services evolve; material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date, and continued use after changes means acceptance. We may suspend or discontinue any part of the Services, and you may stop using them, at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 7, 10–13) survive termination.
